This Yantra is not for the faint hearted.

Kali is both the supreme power and ultimate reality. Consciousness and the power of consciousness are the same. Transcendent cosmic power takes away all darkness and fills us with the light of wisdom. Kali is the embodiment of Jnana Shakti, the power of wisdom. She symbolizes the power of transformation. Kali Ma represents impermanence and death, but also the eternal principle of what lies beyond the wheel of time. In a way, she is the rite of passage — the doorway to eternity, and eternity itself. As a great mystic and lover of the Divine once said: from afar, the Mother of the universe appears dark, but once you come closer, She is pure light.

In the Yogic and Tantric tradition, the Yantra representing the female aspect of the Divine is usually represented by a downward triangle. This is the creative, manifesting, primordial force of creation. The central triangle is divided into five dimensional levels representing the five koshas — the five layers we must drop before reaching the central point of our true nature — the Bindu, or point of singularity — the Absolute. The outer four square “entries” represent the physical, most dense plane and therefore the first chakra, the Mulhadhara. Here, the divine force of Kundalini, the Mother Goddess, is awakened to rise and unite with her Lord (Shiva), the absolute consciousness on the top of the head (Sahasrara Chakra). This complete spiritual journey is represented geometrically in this Yantra.

A note about color

The yantras pick up colors. They change depending on the wall color or lighting where they are displayed. Our website and catalog are true representations of what you will receive against the backgrounds and lighting shown. But, like a clear quartz crystal, their “personalities” change depending on their surroundings. Against a white background in normal light, a Sculpture of Light may appear lighter or more muted.
