Indian Raga music has a unique surreal quality that can still the mind and open the heart. When offered in adoration to the divine, the music is healing to the body, mind and soul. Accompanied by tanpura and tablas, vocalists Saiganesh Sairaman and Shubha Chaki will take the audience on a musical journey through the devotional poetry of great saints of India. They will also lead the audience in chanting powerful ancient mantras for healing and awakening, and end the concert with a guided meditation.
Shubha is a musician and music teacher, adept in many genres of Indian music and has trained under many renowned musicians in India. Saiganesh was groomed from a very young age in South Indian classical music and is also a teacher of meditation and Yoga philosophy.
